dusk in the cityA short poem, ‘dusk in the city’, went up on Every Day Poets today.

dusk in the city

The first lines :

dusk filters through coconut leaves

stills the breathing of trees………..”

I am a late night person so dusk is a time I particularly enjoy, and, in my daily schedule, I usually take a break to watch the sun set and the birds wing overhead. So my diaries are full of poems about dusk – here is one of them.

Haven’t been writing much poetry lately – I have been so focused on writing flash fiction and short stories. I will be putting up links to a few more of those shortly. Its been delightful.
